DIY Hydrating Yoghurt Face Mask

DIY face mark is absolutely easy to make and literally costs nothing at all.

This budget-friendly mask is so natural (chemical-free), some would even apply it everyday.

When selecting face mask ingredients, I use all natural yogurt. Fruit varieties have too much sugar and other ingredients that are not beneficial to the skin. Yogurt's antibacterial properties make it a useful, degerming cleanser, and its lactic-acid content soothes irritation, clarifies the pores and softens the skin. Yogurt is also known for its probiotics which are helpful in naturally treating skin conditions such as acne and eczema.

Yogurt can be used alone, or combined with other ingredients that lend even more benefits to the skin. Experiment with your yogurt masks, getting creative with other soothing, natural ingredients such as green tea and honey. The benefits may surprise you.

How to apply?

Wash your face thoroughly with warm water and cleanser. Scoop out a half tablespoonful of natural yoghurt, one teaspoonful of honey and green tea then mix well. Apply the mask with a make up brush, covering all areas of your face (avoiding eye area). Leave the mask on for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently wash it away with warm water and cleanser. Repeat the process daily or weekly.

Your skin should feel tight, smooth and hydrated after each application.

See?

Rules of thumb to keep your skin hydrated:
1. Drink plenty of water
2. Avoid alcoholic or caffeinated beverages
3. Do not smoke
4. Get plenty of sleep
5. Keep smiling and leave the stress behind your mind =)

I am always inspired by how well the HK girls look after their skins. The skin is always radiant, smooth and young-looking. I first learn about this amazing yoghurt face mask trick from bubzbeauty (youtube as below), and ever since then, I can't stop watching more beauty tutorials from her as well as other beauty gurus from HK on youtube.

Believe me, skin is the first thing you notice on others, in fact, some would even base their guesses on people's age with how radiantly the skin glows, how healthy and young-looking it is. If you are not borned with a perfect skin, don't worry (I too had a bad skin moment in my life), it is never too late to start doing something about it now.

I know you can do it.

Keep smiling and Merry Christmas to everyone,

Love,

Pea
