Hair Straightening Essentials

My hair isn't thick but it is naturally straight. When summer arrives, I sleep in air-conditioned room every night which would be why lately I have been waking up with a really dry and frizzy hair in the morning. All thanks to these hair care products I can now confidentally walk out the door again with this silky and shiny hair.

Before treatment

Basically, after shampooing and conditioning your hair, blow dry it until it is 80% dry. Spread a little heat protective liquid on your palms and smooth it onto the hair before straightening (I usually avoid the root). Finally, apply essential oil onto the hair ends to create extra hair shimmer and sleekness. Because I have a thin hair, it takes only 10 minutes for this process to happen (it is quite convenient in a way but I do wish to have a thicker hair).

After treatment

Special thanks to my fiance, Alex for his endless research on these wonderful hair care products. I can no longer live without them. This argan oil comes in a tiny bottle and it is made in the US. It adds an instant shine and smoothness to the hair and more importantly it protects the hair colour (I have a brown hair). My finger tips always feel smooth after using it.

If you are living in Australia, you can easily buy this Tigi S-factor flat iron spray at $32.95 (even cheaper if you buy it online, I bought mine from a local professional salon). I have always been using Tresemme heat tamer spray because it is cheap. I have no complain about it other than it makes my hair really oily at the end of the day. Tigi brand (american product) has a more pleasant lychee-ish smell and the result is definitely superior. The glossy finish lasts for the whole day. It feels soft to touch and nice to smell even at this late (it is 11pm now and I put this on at 7am).

Finally, I must also thank the new VS Sassoon Milano professional dryer, a christmas gift from my beloved fiance. I was using the traveller version before as my daily hair dryer but this top of the range dryer is far more powerful and needless to say more superior than the older one. It combines ionic conditioning and tourmaline ceramic technology for reduced frizz and a silky, smooth finish.

I hope you enjoy the product reviews.

Have a very merry and safe Christmas and a healthy new year.

Love,

Pea
